Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "user") and Prevolut Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17058766), regarding your use of the Chapper iOS application ("the App").

By downloading, installing, or using Chapper, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the App and delete it from your devices.

These Terms are in addition to, and do not replace, Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA) for App Store applications, available at apple.com/legal/…/stdeula. Where there is a conflict, Apple's EULA takes precedence.

Chapper is a client application that provides a user interface for interacting with large language model (LLM) servers. The App connects to servers that you configure — for example, a local LM Studio instance, an Ollama server, or any OpenAI-compatible API endpoint.

Chapper is not an AI service or model provider. Prevolut Ltd does not operate any AI models, does not process your messages, and does not provide AI-generated responses. All AI functionality is provided by the server you connect to, over which Prevolut Ltd has no control.

The App is provided "as is" as a productivity tool. It is your responsibility to configure it with a compliant, lawful, and appropriate server.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Prevolut Ltd grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Chapper on Apple devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business purposes.

This licence does not include the right to:

• Sublicence, resell, rent, or otherwise distribute the App to third parties
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in or on the App
• Use the App to develop a competing product or service

The App is licensed, not sold. Prevolut Ltd retains all ownership and intellectual property rights in and to the App.

You agree to use Chapper only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the App to:

• Generate, transmit, or store content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Generate content that infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
• Attempt to circumvent security measures on any server or network
• Facilitate any unlawful activity, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, or terrorism
• Generate content designed to deceive, manipulate, or mislead others
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

Because Chapper connects to servers you control, Prevolut Ltd has no visibility into the content you generate. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App and any connected server complies with all applicable laws and the acceptable use policies of any third-party LLM provider you connect to.

Chapper Pro

Chapper offers an optional one-time purchase ("Chapper Pro") that unlocks additional features. The price is displayed in the App at the time of purchase in your local currency.

Payment processing

All payments are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions. Prevolut Ltd does not handle, store, or have access to your payment information.

No refunds from Prevolut

Because all transactions are processed by Apple, refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly via reportaproblem.apple.com. Prevolut Ltd is unable to issue refunds directly. Apple's standard refund policies apply.

Restoration of purchases

If you reinstall Chapper or switch devices, you may restore your Chapper Pro purchase at no charge using the "Restore Purchases" function within the App. You must use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Future changes to features

Prevolut Ltd reserves the right to modify, add to, or remove any feature of Chapper at any time — including moving features that were previously available for free into the Chapper Pro tier, or discontinuing features entirely. No refunds will be issued solely on the basis of a feature modification or reclassification.

We want to be transparent: this clause exists for legal protection, not as a statement of intent. Our goal is to keep Chapper's free tier genuinely useful and to ensure that Chapper Pro delivers lasting value. We have no current plans to move existing free features behind a paywall. When material changes are made, we will communicate them clearly through the App or App Store release notes in advance.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or European Union, statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) and Directive 2019/770 (EU)) apply to your purchase of digital content and are not affected by these Terms.

Chapper is designed primarily for use with self-hosted or locally-running LLM servers (e.g. LM Studio, Ollama). However, you may also configure it to connect to any OpenAI-compatible API endpoint, including third-party commercial services.

When connecting to a third-party service:

• You are subject to that service's own terms of service, acceptable use policy, and privacy policy
• Prevolut Ltd has no control over and no responsibility for the availability, performance, security, or conduct of third-party services
• Any API keys or credentials you enter are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to Prevolut Ltd
• You are responsible for any costs, fees, or rate limits imposed by third-party API providers

Prevolut Ltd provides no warranties, endorsements, or representations regarding any third-party LLM provider and accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of such services through Chapper.

Chapper is a conduit for AI-generated responses produced by the LLM server you connect to. Prevolut Ltd does not generate, review, or moderate any AI output.

AI-generated content may be:

• Inaccurate or misleading — LLMs can produce factually incorrect information presented with apparent confidence ("hallucination")
• Incomplete or outdated — models have knowledge cutoffs and limitations
• Inappropriate — depending on the model and configuration, outputs may be unsuitable for certain audiences or contexts
• Not professional advice — AI output does not constitute legal, medical, financial, psychological, or other professional advice

You must not rely on AI-generated responses from Chapper for decisions involving legal, medical, financial, or safety matters without independent professional verification. Prevolut Ltd accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

Chapper and all of its contents — including source code, design, graphics, user interface, documentation, and any other materials — are owned by or licensed to Prevolut Ltd and are protected by United Kingdom and international intellectual property laws, including copyright, design rights, and trade marks.

The "Chapper" name, logo, and any associated trade marks are the property of Prevolut Ltd. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited licence described in the Licence section above.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chapper is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. Prevolut Ltd expressly disclaims all warranties including, without limitation:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content accessible through the App
• Warranties that the App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions

This disclaimer does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or equivalent legislation, which cannot be excluded by contract.

Again, this is a legal disclaimer — not a reflection of our standards. We take quality seriously and actively maintain Chapper. These clauses exist to protect against unforeseen circumstances, not to lower the bar of what we deliver.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Prevolut Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable to you for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill
• Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on AI-generated content
• Any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data or device
• Any loss or damage arising from the conduct or content of any third-party LLM server you connect to
• Any interruption or cessation of the App's functionality

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for Chapper Pro (if any) in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Prevolut Ltd's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

These limitations are standard for software applications and exist to protect a small independent developer from disproportionate legal exposure. They are not intended to diminish our accountability or commitment to you as a user.

These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically and without notice from Prevolut Ltd if you breach any of their provisions.

You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the App and all copies from your devices.

Prevolut Ltd reserves the right to discontinue Chapper or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. In the event of discontinuation, Prevolut Ltd will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice through the App or its website.

Upon termination for any reason: the licence granted to you ceases immediately; all provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) shall remain in effect.

Prevolut Ltd does not guarantee that Chapper will be available at all times, on all devices, or in all regions. We reserve the right to:

• Withdraw the App from the App Store at any time, with or without notice
• Cease providing updates or support for older versions of iOS
• Modify or discontinue any feature, including features previously available without charge
• Impose usage limits or restrictions if required by law or platform policy

In plain terms: we intend to keep Chapper available, updated, and improving for as long as there is demand. This clause protects us legally against circumstances outside our control — not a signal of plans to abandon the App or its users.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Prevolut Ltd, its director, officers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of Chapper in a manner that violates any applicable law or third-party right
• Content generated through your use of the App that infringes the rights of any third party
• Your use of any third-party LLM server or API in breach of that provider's terms

In plain terms: if your misuse of the App causes legal problems for Prevolut Ltd, you are responsible for covering those costs. This is a standard protection clause and is only relevant if you use the App unlawfully or in bad faith — which we trust you won't.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms — including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination — shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that Prevolut Ltd reserves the right to bring proceedings in any court of competent jurisdiction for the purpose of seeking urgent injunctive or other interim relief.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also be entitled to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Prevolut Ltd is not obliged to participate in ADR proceedings but will consider reasonable requests in good faith.

If you are a UK consumer, you may refer disputes to the UK consumer dispute resolution schemes where applicable.

Prevolut Ltd reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will provide notice through the App or via App Store release notes.

Your continued use of Chapper following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.
